Diaper rash is a reaction to the ammonia in babies urine, to their stools, or to the soap used to wash diapers. While it is uncomfortable, diaper rash is seldom dangerous. Symptoms of diaper rash are a red bottom and thighs, which may or may not include genitalia. Sometimes, because the area is warm and moist, the area can become infected with bacteria or fungus. Prevention
- Change the diapers as soon as they have been soiled or wet.
- Leave the skin open to the air as often as possible.
- If you use cloth diapers, do not wash them in too much soap and if possible, use a mild soap.
- Avoid using disposable diapers or plastic pants if your baby has frequent problems, as these trap moisture against the baby’s skin.

- Every baby is unique, so try a few different methods to find out what works for your baby.
- Wash your baby’s skin around the diaper area thoroughly with mild soap and water, ensure skin you dry the skin well.
- Stay away from bulky or multi-layered diapers.
- Change diapers frequently.
- Ensure the area has been cleaned and dried, then apply Silver Sol gel directly to the effected area after every diaper change until rash goes away.
